There has been much controversy over President Obama expressing that he would like to start negotiations for peace beginning at the 1967 lines. To most of us that meant that the line drawn at that moment in time would be the starting point for the conversation. Why is it when President Obama makes a statement, that has already been used with 2 prior administrations, all of a sudden be out of line? President Obama, in my opinion, was testing where each side stood on grounds for peace by making the statement. We know that for years the Israelis have been building settlements and expanding over this 1967 line for quite some time and has been receiving sanctions form the UN for quite some time too. Take a look at this photo depicting the encroachment of land.

If we as Americans are going to criticize the actions of the President, we should at least understand the whole picture and not just claim Israel is always correct. If they were always correct, fighting would not be an issue nor would they be under reprimand from the UN for expanding and pushing those who live there out. Understanding that Israel is the only democratic state in the region, I can see their concern. However, I do not agree on the way the PM is addressing this and insulting our President. Especially when this particular negotiation point has been the consensus for many years prior to this moment.

GOP's Mission to Repeal Healthcare

It seems the House of Representatives decided to vote to repeal the Healthcare Law put in place one year ago by the Democrats. They insist this is Job Crushing; that this law will cost more than it will help. However, again, the fear coming through the microphones and no facts to back them up. The only fact I can hear them complain about is the "Mandate" that all people must have insurance. Why not just repeal that "Mandate"? Why must the entire law, which has already helped children with pre-existing conditions as well as young adults, the elderly and those who were unable to obtain insurance, be repealed? Remember there is no cap on what an Insurance company can charge you for insurance, so what's the biggie?

The problem is that not one of these Representatives are addressing the fact that these insurance companies are controlling the healthcare and not the government. When I go to the doctors, the doctor does not say to me, "let's check to see if this medicine will be covered by the government". He says, "this medication may not be covered because its a top tier medication and you need a special authorization for the insurance to cover it. This will require you to try several different drugs before I can give you this prescription." The when the time comes to get the authorization from the Insurance company to get this drug a person who is not a physician tells us its denied because we did not fit the criteria. How do I know this? Because I was one of those individuals who answered the phone at the insurance company telling Cancer patients that they were denied their lifesaving drugs over a criteria and not provide them the coverage for the drugs their doctor prescribed. Does this sound like the government is interfering or the insurance company denying you?

My elderly mom who worked all her life got a bill for her Medigap insurance from Anthem that told us that for 20% worth of coverage she must pay $227.00 per month. Then once the year ended, sent us a letter stating that they had to raise the rate $66.00 because of costs. The Government did not raise costs, Anthem created the costs. These mysterious costs! $66.00 is a lot of money especially in this recession for those on fixed income. Retiree's do not get a raise, I did not get a raise, yet the people must pay more as Anthem is making record profits. In Connecticut, Anthem was denied raising rates on people who are not on Government plans but were able to raise rates on those getting Medicare benefits. Our parents, grandparents who are retired and on fixed income get a raise in rates. They are raising rates all over the country and are not "mandated" to stop controlling our inflated costs. Why are these insurance companies allowed to make record profits on our health and push the blame on the government? How come one can get medications, the same medications available in the US, for much less cost in another country? Is it because they have universal healthcare? Or is it because the insurance companies do not rule their healthcare?

Let's take a look at an argument the GOP keeps repeating. They are claiming that the United States has one of the best health care in the world. WRONG!!! Please find the World Health Organization's ranking for the best health care in the world. Please note we are #27, not one of the best. Growing up I was told being one of the top is in the top 10 but the best should be top 3. That means the GOP is LYING once again to us to make us believe that we are in fact a competing force in the world. WE ARE NOT! Stop the lies, stop the propaganda, stop misleading the people!! If anyone at all is killing our jobs its our corporations running this country. Prime example, all the Walmart's that have closed local mom and pop stores all over the country. That sounds job crushing to me. The Corporations are shipping our jobs overseas because they do not want to offer you benefits or pay taxes for running their businesses here in our Country. Do they not owe their share of taxes for being allowed to make record profits here? Are the people of America not worth the benefits? Its not like they are struggling for profits, actually, they need to save all that profit so CEO's can make sure their yacht can sit in the dockside for months unused. God forbid they get rid of the yacht. Please check out the list of Corporations sending our jobs away. Is this not job crushing?

The list of Corporations exporting our jobs is extremely large. All of these companies will tell you that they ship our jobs overseas due to our tax laws and due to Unions. These Corporations do not have laws or union contracts that force them to pay a Chinese child more than .20 cents an hour or give them any benefits. Yet we worry about China's Human Rights problems? This world and our beloved America is being run by CORPORATIONS!!! We should change our name to the United Corporations of America as our House of Representatives and our Senate do not really have control. They will never vote in the "backroom" for the people's interest over a Corporations interest.

The profits for Corporations in the United States have been the highest in HISTORY!!! Check out this NYTimes article. Where are the jobs? When corporations are making so much money, how is it that they are not creating jobs? Nothing we have been told so far has been helping to create jobs. We make nothing in this country! Everything I pick up is from China. Our Representatives in Government must stop feeding the interests of the Corporations! Claiming the Bush Taxes will help create jobs, that Healthcare Repeal will help create jobs, that less regulations will help create jobs as these are the biggest lies ever told. The tax cuts have been in effect since Bush W was in office and the economy tanked on his watch. Bush told us the bailout for banks was necessary and yet they made record profits and also had record foreclosures. Where are the people's interests? We need to force the Corporate influence out of our government dealings and mop the floor of the slime. We have been oppressed too long with the lure of the carrot that will never provide us the American Dream.

Beginning New Years Eve 2010 the news started reporting that Birds were dropping from the sky and massive fish kills were occuring. Now 3 weeks into the year we have what tweeters call the "Aflockalypse" because it seems the deaths have no end in sight.

Now, now... I know what your going to say.... "this is a normal occurrence, per the scientists" that all the "hype is due to the internet and the media" Well, I am one who is not believing the damage control reports. Yes, I understand a certain amount of die offs happen each year but when I read the report yesterday that 7000 buffalos in Vietnam died and 200 cows in Wisconsin died within the same night, I had to start doing some research.

I found video blogs, news articles, reports from all kinds of agencies and of course the end of the world theories.

I, however, am still concerned. I don't think that this is as common as the "scientists" would like us to believe, especially in a 3 week period of time. Lets make a note and take a look at a very interesting map created by people with concerns like myself.

Many people think its the poles shifting. I believe this theory has some weight. As I found these articles proving the poles are shifting and could cause magnetic issues in the ionosphere and weather abnormalities. See this article for more info.

The "Party of No" Commander in Chief Cheney Speaks

As I posted on the CNN's blogs my now infamous title for the GOP as "The Party of No" a/k/a the P.O.N's are up to their dirty tricks again. The P.O.N. has their head "Opposer in Chief Cheney" trying to dogg our President Obama live this morning on the news. As I sit watching our Ex-VP Cheney try to demean and slam our current President in order to justify the horrible decisions made by the Bush Administration, I feel disgusted and angry. The last time a State official stood up to the President even when they were in the wrong was Alabama Gov. George C. Wallace's 1963 stand in the Tuscaloosa schoolhouse shown in the photo. Cheney's Propaganda is Unbelievable and Despicable.

A terrorist plot was foiled this morning in New York yet all Cheney can say is Obama is not protecting our Country. Huh? The P.O.N must really think we are ignorant fools, as if all of us were not informed during their Administration of their deceptive tactics and clear failures against the American people. Sounds like Cheney is attempting to create a smokescreen to keep us from digging any further into their manipulation of our laws regarding torture.

I am having a hard time understanding how Cheney can be allowed to make rebuttal speeches after our President speaks. Cheney's speech is a sleazy, abomination of the truth. I am appalled at their audacity to twist the truth. I find the P.O.N.'s way of rebuttal to be disrespectful and almost Coup-like propaganda trying attempting to draft people into a rebellion against our current President. How can these behaviors continue to be allowed? This seems to be a new tactic of Carl Rove that is rearing its ugly head. I can't get the nasty taste out of my mouth.

Its incredible that these men of the P.O.N. believe that they can justify their lies and vengeance by ridiculing our elected President after Pelosi agreed to seize impeachment proceedings against Bush and Cheney. If the people had their way we would have impeached them both. Its as if they can not accept that they lost and are trying to create a coup against Obama. I would consider this a security risk to the community as this retaliation is not helping but hindering our moving away from the cold war mentality. They actually are trying to say the Obama Administration is concealing information. How ridiculous to claim after this country has been lied to over and over again by the Bush Administration for almost a decade.

In Alaska, residents pay no income tax or state sales tax. They receive a yearly dividend check from a $30 billion state investment account built largely from royalties on its oil. When home fuel and gas costs soared this year, Palin raised taxes on big oil and used some of the money to boost residents' checks by $1,200. Thus every eligible man, woman and child got a record $3,269 this fall.

She also suspended the 8-cent tax on gas.

"We can afford to share resource wealth with Alaskans and to temporarily suspend the state fuel tax," she said at the time.

PALIN'S REASONING:

Palin's statement talked about the energy costs burdening Alaskans:

"While the unique fiscal circumstances the state finds itself in at the end of this fiscal year warrant a special one-time payment to share some of the state's wealth, the payment comes at a time when Alaskans are facing rising energy prices. High prices for oil are a double-edged sword for Alaskans. While public coffers fill, prices for heating fuel and gasoline have skyrocketed over the last six months and are now running into the $5- to $9-a-gallon range for heating fuel and gasoline across several areas of the state."

HUMMMMMMM Sounds alot like socialism to me.... is it bad?

I decided to research all the States that were said to be affected and I came across a report that was released on October 27, 2008. Palin sports Polar Bear Pin while Voting Against their Protection

As I listened to Sarah Palin's Energy Policy proposal this morning I noticed a few things. First, I was sickened to see her wearing this polar bear broach as if she cares about these endangered animals.

Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, sued the Bush Administration in federal court recently, charging it was too accepting of climate change studies which overstated the phenomenon's impact on polar bears. The result, she argued, would be a negative impact on her state's businesses, including oil and gas extraction. Palin backed her argument by hiring scientists who were negative towards global warming while the scientists were receiving funding for their studies from the oil and gas companies including Exxon-Mobil.

As a person who donates monthly to Polar Bear Protection, I am nauseated seeing this woman Palin parading herself on a stage with this pin as if she cares about polar bears at all. Palin cares about Polar Bears about as much as she cares about the Aerial killing of Wolves which she gives $150.00 bounty for a paw. Palin would rather protect Caribou and Moose which are over populating areas of the North than allow the wolves to regulate their population as natural predators thereby interfering in the natural ecosystem and pecking order of nature. Hunting is one thing, extinction of an entire species is another.

Cell Phone Army Volunteer Receives Call Backs from Angry McCain Supporters

I received an e-mail from a MoveOn.Org member inviting us to a Cell Phone Calling Party. I told my sister and we felt compelled to volunteer for the Cell Phone Army for Barack Obama. We thought if we did not participate in some way we would feel guilty for not doing our part in order for him to be our next President of the United States. Politics has excited our family unlike ever before, we eagerly headed to the address sent to us by e-mail the week before by a MoveOn.Org member in our area. I had helped calling before for Hillary during the primaries but my sister never did any kind of calling before for a political candidate so I dragged her along.

As we parked our car we saw about 10 people in a backyard scattered, as if they were in a city park each with a phone in ear and a script in hand. Upon entering the home of an unknown fellow Obama supporter and MoveOn.org member, we saw at least a dozen people in the living room as well. The Host greeted us with a warm welcome, food, coffee, and lots of goodies. She continued to hand us information on what our goal was for phone calls, a script and a list of people printed out from a database that MoveOn.Org uses online to contact their own members all over the country. The goal was to call all MoveOn.Org members in swing states and have them commit to volunteering next weekend. We had times and a list to check off yes, no, do not call, wrong number, etc...
I made calls from my own cell phone but a majority of my calls were not going through or went to a voicemail and we were told not to leave messages. I successfully called 4 pages of phone numbers which was way beyond what I thought I could do so upon completion I left with my head high and happy.

Last night, two days after my day at the Calling Party I started to receive calls back from Indiana. Some people were willing to go help in their area but I received 3 phone calls back from angry McCain supporters. They each asked me who I was and I proudly told them what I was calling about. After stating I was an Obama supporter asking for them to volunteer each of them verbally attacked me. The first woman said that she was a McCain supporter and why would I have her phone number. I explained where I got the numbers and told them they were registered with MoveOn.Org and that the phone number was on the roster. She then proclaimed her Patriotism and yelled that I was a fool and un-patriotic to believe in a Muslim Socialist and that anyone who was for Obama were commi's. Thankfully she hung up. The other 2 calls were from men who one called me a welfare monger who is trying to destroy our country to the last person who crank-called me for over an hour telling me that I am stealing their information and how did I get their cell phone number? That I was a liar and corrupt and that FOX News was going to hear about my fraudulent activity. The continued went with hang up calls with the final call asking me to volunteer for McCain's Campaign. I kindly declined by saying, " Oh, I'm sorry I can not volunteer for Senator McCain because I am an Obama supporter. I do appreciate the call and may the man with the most votes win! Thanks again.." I then hung up and never heard from them again....

I still feel good about what I did, I just wish people were not so angry and wished those people believed me that I did get their names and phone numbers from this organization that they signed up to be contacted. Maybe someone signed them up as a joke.... some joke huh...

This is absolutely the best thing that has happened this week! I am so glad that someone is able to stand up for what we believe without fear of retribution.

This AM as I was preparing my coffee and turned on CNN while waiting for Meet The Press, I see Colin Powell in a press conference. Well he told everyone exactly why he is endorsing Obama.

I respect this man very much!

OMG!! I happen to be browsing YouTube last night and happened to see a video of the 3rd Presidential Debate. Upon watching this video listen to what McCain said:

A Freudian slip, or parapraxis, is an error in speech, memory, or physical action that is believed to be caused by the subconscious mind.

Is this a Freudian slip? Im scared after hearing this.
